Wedding stuff with Lisa

I know at I haven’t been very good the last few weeks on blogging. Sorry about that! I am going to go back about 3 weeks actually. I went to a Cristos Trunk show and fell in love with one of their dresses…but going back even further. My friend Lisa and I went and got totally pampered, well got an hour spa pedi and then I got fake nails put on because the next weekend Trent and I were getting our engagement pictures.
After the spa day we met up with our friend Vickie and we went to down town DC to go to this trunk show. We were the last appointment which was awesome. Basically I tried on EVERY dress they had there. There were some bizarre ones and some cute ones and then one I LOVED SOOO MUCH…BUT it was $7500  yeah I can’t afford that and it is sad.
Most of you probably don’t know this but Trent’s aunt is going to actually make my dress. This dress though was so detailed. It was a fitted dress and there were basically three layers. It was a cream fabric, then a layer of lace and then a layer of tool full of BEADS…it was awesome, they looked like fireworks and there were pearls on the dress too. OMG SOO PRETTY!! I LOVE IT!! I guess though I have realized that I don’t think I can actually get that dress. So sad!
Then that night Lisa and I came back to my apartment and went through all of my wedding magazines that I had an well Lisa totally tagged everything that she thought I should look at and I went through some other ones and tore out the pages that I liked. Anyway Lisa organized everything and tagged everything. It is totally awesome and I don’t know what I would do without her.
Anyway we had a scary moment while doing this….all the sudden we started to smell fire along the north and south walls of the apartments but not in the middle. It was weird….and what was even more weird was when I went over by the TV it got worse so I shut off the TV and when I did that the main breaker blew in our apartment. We had to call emergency maintenance to have them come in late on a Saturday night. But it was really weird because our bathroom is in a total opposite site of where we were and blocked off and Trent was showering in there and he even smelt it really bad in there. It was weird. We really still have NO idea what it was. The only thing we can come up with is that it was our Air Conditioning since it won’t work now and it worked just fine before that. Oh well though we are safe but I was scared for a while.
