Day after tomorrow..

Today was rather relaxing. I didn’t get up until 8 am because I didn’t have to work today. I got up and got ready half way so that when I called my supervisor at 9 am if she wanted me to come to work to hand in my paper work I could be there relatively quickly. I called my Supervisor and she told me to come anytime except for between 12:30 and 2 because somewhere in there she goes to lunch.

So I ended up going to see my supervisor on my way to my meeting that I had at 12 at The Washington Center. This meeting was one of the things that we had to be at because we don’t have security clearance. The “We” I am talking about is a group of about 20 of us that don’t have clearance yet so we can’t work yet. So they have things for us to do this week so that we aren’t just sitting in our rooms bored out of our minds. The thing is they are required so if we don’t go we get charged and un excused absence and we can only have two before we get kicked out.

So I went to this speaker that we had on how DC works. It was rather boring but they had awesome cookies so I stayed rather entertained as I made designs out of my cookie as I broke pieces off. SHHH…don’t tell mom…just kidding.

Anyway, after the speaker was done I was done for the day. I came back to my apartment and really didn’t do anything. I read in my new book “ I hope they serve beer in hell” by Tucker Max….hilarious book I recommend it to anyone of mature age. Then I did some research for my paper that I am writing for TWC ( The Washington Center). Not a whole lot because it is the Civic, Acadmenic, Personal, and Work goals I have and how I am going to achieve them. And we have to write 3 ways to how we will achieve each goal and we have to have two for each of the above listed so I have to come up with 8 different goals that can’t pertain to my job specifically but has to help me after this internship. I have 4 and can’t think of anymore so if you have any advice I am up for the help.

Tomorrow my non secure group and I get to go on a Capitol tour for 2 hours. We have to be there no later then 9:45 am. So at 12 tomorrow I will again have nothing to do. I was going to have class tomorrow night but I switched my class to Monday nights instead. The switch isn’t for sure yet so I might still have to go to class tomorrow so I don’t miss and get an un excused absence. We will see.

But I don’t know a whole lot else tonight. I hope all is well at home. Hope to hear from you all. I am starting to get really home sick so if you get a chance I would love to hear from any of you :J Thanks J
