Ill Chillins

We had to take Homer and Mowgli to the Vet yesterday because well Homer had sores about 7 weeks ago that were all over and he was licking them until they bled, so we took him to the vet and got him a cortisone shot and he was great until last week when April noticed a few sores on him and that he wasn't moving around much during the day mostly just lying around and sleeping or hiding. So I called and got him an appointment and Mowgli one for her Rabies shot, which ended up working great because on Saturday she decided to vomit 5 times all over the apartment.
So getting them to the Vet yesterday was very interesting. We have on hard cat carrier and one soft-sided one, which is how I got Mowgli home at Christmas time. Anyway Mowgli has gained about 6 lbs since Christmas time according to the vet, not sure if I believe that but anyway...she is a BIG cat...and the vet called her fat and put her on a diet...ha ha...oops. Anyway trying to get them into their carriers I put Homer in the soft sided carrier which sucked for him because he is a LONG cat...very long..but then I had to put Mowgli...into the little hard sided carrier...and well her butt didn't fit AT ALL...so I had to shove her in head first...IT SUCKED!! When we got them to the vet we had to take the hard carrier apart because Mowgli had sucked herself against the back and side and was Growling…she was a horrible cat at the vet and I felt so horrible…but then after her shot when the vet backed away Mowgli fell of the table…and the assistant was apologizing over and over again and I was laughing…ha ha I’m a horrible person. Probably one check against me…but she kind of deserved it after almost biting the vet and assistant. Oh well…
Anyway after checking them both out the vet put them on some special Hypoallergenic food because she thinks it is a food allergy for both cats. Hopefully it works because it is super expensive. Anyway she said that Mowgli also needed to lose weight about 2 lbs because she is a 14 lb cat and Homer is a 12 lb cat so we need Homer to maintain weight and Mowgli to lose...so this is going to be interesting because while we are at work we can't make them eat out of their own bowl...so hopefully it works.
Mowgli is on a diet.
