Monday!!

Today I got up at 8 and took a nap at 9 it was amazing. Ha ha don’t worry I did more then just that. 8 was just to early for me today so I went back to sleep.

At 1 though I had to leave for a speaker for our Monday speaker thing we have to do every Monday. So we only work from 9-12 or 1-5 depending on the event we have for the day so that is nice. No complaints on my side.

Today the speaker was on what kind of a personality you are at work. North South East or West. I am South over and over again. Basically this means that I like to listen to what everyone has to say about the project and then go from there. Also I have problems saying no to people. That is what we figured out ha ha. There was 7 people in my group 30 people in the North which were people that jump into action and don’t look at the big picture. They tend to just see what needs to be done and want to do it quickly and they delegate how it should be done. There were 20 in the west and like 25 in the East. We were definitely the minority but that was ok because after we switched around a few times we did a project where we got 2 paper plates two Styrofoam plates, 4 straws 4 sheets of paper and 3 paper cups and some tape. Ok we had all of this stuff and we had to build the strongest and tallest tower. Oh yeah and 3 spoons. So we had to build a tower and the people in the North couldn’t look at the supplies at all People in the west couldn’t talk and in the east couldn’t touch anything but the people in the south could do whatever.

We did this so that we could see who would step up and do the work and see how challenging it can be in others positions. It was kind of interesting but I realized that I could never be a north because I don’t like being bossy or making decisions. But that is ok I like talking to everyone and seeing how they feel about the project and get every ones ideas and try to make them work together so that it is a more well rounded project. I guess I just think if I am going to go to the top it is going to be more fun to have people around that like me and I get along with that are at the top. No fun being on the top and being alone. That is what I learned today.

Then I went out to eat at Potbelly’s it is like a quiznos basically. It was fun because it got me out of the apartment and the guys were hilarious so this girl and I just sat there and laughed at them for over an hour. Fun times!!

Not sure what is up for tomorrow. I still have not heard from Interpol about when I will start working. Hopefully it will be soon but not sure. Until later though hope all is well.
