First day of work

Today was my first day of work. It was supposed to start at 9 but I got there at 8:30 so I started early. I had a bunch of paperwork that I had to read and fill out. I am working in Interpol’s command center, in notifications. I still don’t know what I do because I didn’t do much today. I went with my supervisor to go and get my id card. We took the bus there and then we waited in line for 30 mins and then rode 20 mins back. So I got to spend a lot of time with my supervisor. This was nice because I got to ask her a bunch of questions and figure out how laid back or not she was. She seems really funny and fun to be around so I am excited. I told her that I could be done with school this December if I get an offer and she started to get all excited. She was like you HAVE to give me your resume and I will look it over and try to get you in contact with people you can help. Also with people you are interested working with. So I am excited about that. She said we will go on tours of like the FBI building and many other places and she said I will just need to let them know I am looking for a job and print off my resume and get their business card. So that sounds promising to me. The fact that she was excited about me being done is a positive. But everyone in my office seems really nice and laid back. They all introduced themselves and were like if you need anything we are here for you. So that is nice. But my hours are 9-5 Tuesday- Friday and Mondays are just half days depending on when my TWC event is.

After work we went and saw Norman Mineta talk. He is an old secretary of the US. He was really interesting to listen to so that was good.

But now I am just chillin in my apartment pry going to make choc. Chunk cookies later tonight with Julian if he comes. J Anyway I will talk to you guys later!
